CBYX Alumni Association began in 2016 as a way to unite the Americans who have participated in the high school, vocational, and young professionals programs of the Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange.

Joining together the people who have experienced this life-changing exchange program, CBYXAA is building a modern connection platform for our members with virtual and live events, alumni story sharing, a digital community, and more.

Founded in 1983 to strengthen ties between the United States and Germany through citizen diplomacy, the Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange is a program of the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.

Every one of the 350 U.S. participants each year since has built meaningful relationships, explored new career opportunities, learned another language, acquired new traditions, and grown exponentially as young Americans thanks to the opportunity afforded by this indirect exchange program.
